  3. Amber - Core 2, I will work on this tonight...perhaps I will rename this "Post" and everyone can use it to make general comments, blog questions, and communicate about miscellaneous topics? Any ideas for a name to this post?

  5. Yesterday I was trying to read my book when my cat jump on my bed and sat on my book and had her "What?" face on. I tried to pick her up but she's was to heavy. I went into my brother's room and asked him to take a picture of Pepper. She was sleeping on my book when I got back in my room. So Mrs. Blackwell, I couldn't read my book because my cat didn't want me to.

  6. What about the Cat in the Hat??? He likes to read! Perhaps it's time to invest in some cat training (is there a cat whisperer?) I've heard everything now.... my dog ate my homework, my mom threw it away, now a cat kept you from reading.....!

    ReplyDelete
  7. i don't think my cat would be smart enough to read my my book

  8. Love the cat story! My cat keeps me from sleeping at night by attacking my arms and legs plus she likes to sniff my face and lay where I pput my legs and feet!

  9. Hey koczot thanks for nominating me for the Junior National Leaders Conference. We just got the letter in and my parents want me to go but they need to find the money but I'm so happy thanks!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. You are most deserving. Please let your parents know that there may be some scholarships on line that you could find, that may help with the cost. I know it is expensive (which I don't like), but I know some students in the past have gone, and didn't pay for anything other than souvineirs. Congrats!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Mr.Koczot,if you got this opportunity to go to this junior national leaders conference would you go?Or would you decide it was too much money? Is it a once in a life time opportuity?

    ReplyDelete
  16. That concert was... DA BOMB!!!

You guys and girls all LOOKED GREAT, PLAYED GREAT, and SOUNDED GREAT!!!

I must say... Nick's tie was sharp, but Alec and Jacob W. stole the show during the Jazz segment... Props to you two guys!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Katherine - Core 4... I think it would be best for you, your parents, and I to talk sometime about this opportunity. I think I can put you in touch with students who have already gone and expierenced it (you could get a better idea from them), and I may be able to suggest a few ideas to Mom and Dad as well. I personally think you will have other opportunities like this later in life, and just getting nominated will look tremendous on a college resume. We'll continue to talk about it, but ultimately it's up to You, Mom, and Dad. - Mr. K.

  27. Katherine Core4 (Amber Core1)May 15, 2009 at 4:04 PM

    Hi Mr.Koczot, Amber said "HIIIIII!!!!!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  28. Brianna (core 1), I don't see why the Sailfish can't join us on the BLOG... I would ask that you "teach" them how to use it, if you know someone who is interested in checking it out... the only other thing is that; When they "sign off", instead of putting their "core #", have them put: First name only and "Sailfish" after.

Hello Katherine and Amber... You two need to stay out of trouble over there, and Amber, watch out for the Dog that likes to lick faces!!! It might be your turn tonight!

  29. Hey Mr. Koczot i would like to make my own blog and i have a question, does it cause money???

    ReplyDelete
  30. Amber - Core 1, making a BLOG, or designing a Web site does not cost money. It is Free, and FUN! Go to Blogger.com (which is the set - up site I used), create an account and begin exploring. Good Luck!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks Mr. Koczot for telling me that because if it did cost money and i had already made a blog my mom will kill me. But thanks, and how are you doing??

I showed it to her and she made me pick a piece of paper to choose. the prizes were a bage of M&M's, a DSI and a kaiyak. Of course, I got the M&M's. But my mom gave me the DSI instead.

  39. Hey Mr.Koczot! How is your first day of summer?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Brianna - Congrats on your gift... you deserve it! Katherine - teachers still have a half a week of school left... we have some cleanup to do, and paperwork to take care of. Our summer break will begin next Thursday at 3:00, can't wait. Enjoy yours though... And you sure did deserve that award you got on Friday.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thank you!I just cant believe you still have to go to school to clean up!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hey Mr. Koczot i miss you and all of my friends. You were the best homeroom teacher that any one could ever have! I will keep in touch with you through out the summer, and seventh grade!
    P.S. I miss you!

  43. Hey Mr.koczot i have a question. So on my blog i just found out how to publish my messages that people send to me when they want to put a comment, well i am woundering how to put my answer under their comment, like you do yours????????

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hey mr.koczot i have another ?, how do you make your own slide show with your own pictures????

    ReplyDelete
  45. Awesome Amber - To answer your questions, 1st, You would comment in the same comment box as everyone else, but because you will be logged in when you do this, once you're finished typing, just click "post comment", everything else will be done automatically - you will not have to "type in a word", 2nd,. I used a slide show program, if you click on it, there will be a heading that says something like, "want to creat your own", you can click on that and follow the promps. You will have to upload your pic's from an SD card, or copy and paste them from your computer. You don't have to use that web site / program, you can make a powerpoint slide show, then upload that to your blog, and I think that may be easier, but I've never tried it. Good Luck with it, keep exploring and learning, it will help you in 7th grade. Let me know how it all works out for you. - MR. K.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hey Mr.Koczot i just wanted to ask you a question. So is this how i would try to make my own slide show, i went on customize then i got on layout then page elements, and i pushed add a gadget, then i pushed on slideshow but it only let me make a slide show of the pictures that were already on there, and i could not make a slide show of my pictures, and i didn't see anything say "want to create your own." What do i do???

    ReplyDelete
  47. Amber - What I was refering to, when I said - "click on 'make your own'" was my slide show... once you do that, then, you will be given an option to design your own for your BLOG... I do know what you're referring on the "Gadget" page, but I also found that confusing, so I google searched 'slide shows for BLOGS' and that's what led me to the site I used. - Try it, and let me know...GOOD LUCK!

I am sooooo excited. My whole family and me (of corse) are going to New York (where I used to live)it will be my first ever plane ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Katherine (former 6th grader)June 24, 2009 at 10:12 AM

Mr.Koczot a friend of mine told me your ears pop in and out on a plane, is that true? If so is their any way I can prevent it?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Katherine - you will have sooooo much fun. I'm glad you get to go in a plane, because the video I took for you - just doesn't allow you to really feel what it's like.

Your ears may or may not "pop" (feel like you are getting a small earache for a few seconds)-everyone is different. I always make sure that I am chewing gum while the plane is taking off, then another piece while the plane is landing. One time I didn't have any gum or candy to chew on - so I pretended to move my mouth like I was eating something - and that helped a little.

When are you leaving? Can you check the BLOG from where you will going - that way there will be a red dot for you on the world map - at the bottom of the BLOG, from New York???

    ReplyDelete

Hi Mr.Koczot, sorry I did not blog in awhile I was very busy "meeting and greeting" everybody I know here in New York! The plane trip was awesome but the plane was very small, I would say that there was about 40 people on the plane.
Is Mr.Holland actually moving?THAT IS REALLY DISAPOINTING!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Katherine - Glad you enjoyed the plane ride. Did you chew gum? Have fun in N.Y., and yes, Mr. Holland is leaving, so be sure and write him a "goodbye" on the blog.

Mr.Koczot,2 days ago my aunt Donna was walking her dog.She got on maple street and from out of nowhere a pit bull attacked her and her dog Chloe.(Chloe is an Australian blue healer)The pit bull attacked Chloe first ripping a chunk of skin off from her shoulder to her back, my aunt Donna tried to break it up by putting her hand in between the two dogs. The pit bull grabbed her hand and locked jaws on her.A neighbor heard the racket came out and helped her dog Chloe onto her deck to safety.Aunt Donna was lying on the rode because her back went out.she was still holding the pit bull when another neighbor came to the rescue and took the pit bull away.Aunt Donna got up to go look at Chloe and noticed she was bleeding all over the place. They got Chloe and her to a hospital. It turns out the pit bull caused Donna an open fracture because the wound was over the brake and she had to go to surgery right away.Chloe on the other hand had to stay over night and get stitches. They found the owner of the pit bull and they are going to get a lawyer and press charges!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Hello Amber - I did get your message about Basketball, and I sadly will tell you that I will not be coaching either of the two teams. I would rather just stick with Golf and Softball. I will come to watch you during football and basketball season though.

As far as schedules go... You will not know what team you are on until Open House. This is new this year... no early announcement. I will be hoping you're a Sunfish though. Enjoy the last week off, I'm working on changing the BLOG, so stay tuned... & tell me what you think.

I will be close by - if you ever need anything.
Miss. Waterman is great... You will be seeing a lot more of her this year.
Perhaps once school gets started... you can help me set up a facebook... The producer from CNN wanted me to get one as well, and I have a few friends in PA that want me to get one.

Hey... what do you think about BCMS having a morning news program, as opposed to the morning announcements? Think it would be a hit?

    ReplyDelete
  63. That would be awesome. MOrning news. We did it at white oak and it got us out of work sometimes. If u were the people putting on the news. Would mrs. Corraro doing it? OPh and making a facebook isnt that hard just follow the instructions.Oh and i like what u did with the new page.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Amber... a few things...

    1. check out koczotspastkids.blogspot.com, and tell me what your think of that.

    2. If I was to start a BCMS news, morning show... would you like to help put it together, or be an anchor, or would you be shy and embarassed???

Let me know, and we'll use the new BLOG to communicate - as I will be deleting this POST soon.

Ohh yeah... you can go to the left side of this page and click on Koczot's Former Students, and it should take you to that site.

Today I just had surgery on my mouth. They put a needle into my arm so they could do it while I was pass out. They pull out 4 of my teeth and a supernumerary tooth which is an extra tooth. It's rare to have many supernumerary teeth in one mouth.

  85. Hi Alyssa... Good to hear that you are excited about school, and congrats to your mom. If you are using blogspot to create a blog, then the route you take to add games is from the "dashboard" screen. You would select "add a gadget", and then scroll down until you found something you wanted on your page.

If that sounds a bit confusing, I can show you at open house if you come, or once school starts...just let me know.

Enjoy your last few days off.
